David Daniels, MD, is the co-founder of the Enneagram Professional Training Program (EPTP), along with Helen Palmer. He is a clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford Medical School and co-author of the newly updated Essential Enneagram. He also co-developed the outstanding videos, The Enneagram: Nine Paths to a Productive and Fulfilling Life and The Enneagram in the Workplace. In private practice for more than three decades, David has taught the Enneagram system at Stanford, in the community and internationally for 15 years. He brings his knowledge of the Enneagram to individuals, couples and groups, and to a wide range of applications in clinical practice and the workplace.
These applications include dream work, coaching, leadership styles and conflict resolution. He leads workshops and classes in personal and relationship development including the Enneagram and dreams, forgiveness, personal development, vital relationships, effective communications, the defense mechanisms and will as transformer.
In organizational development and workplace settings, David has expertise in teambuilding, participative management and decision-making, interpersonal skills (communication styles, giving and receiving feedback), leadership style and skills, self-management, negotiations and conflict resolution, change and risk management, learning styles, training strategies and coaching. His clients include AMIL Medical Services (Texas and Brazil), Apple Computer, CitiBank (Geneva), E-Myth Academy, Intuit, Kimpton Hotel Group, Proctor & Gamble, Peninsula Open Space Trust, Seville Realty Company, Varian Associates, Xerox, and Cox, Buchanan, Padmore & Shakarchy Law Firm.
David served as co-director of the First International Enneagram Conference at Stanford University in August 1994 and was a founding director of the International Enneagram Association (IEA).
