NEW OFFERING

The Enneagram, Sleep and Dreams: The Unexamined Territory

April 20-21, 2007
Asheville, N.C.

This groundbreaking workshop brings together Enneagram Worldwide Founder David Daniels, M.D., Sandra Smith, an Enneagram teacher on spiritual development, and Steve Tomski, M.D., an Enneagram teacher and sleep disorders expert.

Sleep, occupying roughly one third of our life, affects everything we do. How does each of the Enneagram types experience sleep and disturbances of sleep? What are the antidotes or remedies for sleep difficulties that are type related? What do we need to build healthy sleep patterns and deal with sleep disorders given our Enneagram type?

This groundbreaking workshop addresses these themes through a sleep questionnaire, review of the sleep process, inquiry, reflection, type groups and panels.

Then we will address the vital role of dreams in our lives. How do our dreams reflect the core issues and dilemmas of our type? Our path of spiritual development? The integration of our personality and spiritual qualities? This workshop continues David’s original work applying the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition to the multiple levels of Jungian dream work: to current circumstances, unresolved conflicts, psychological growth and spiritual development. The workshop will include lecture, directed inquiry, sculpting key scenes, live interactions, resource panels and the “dream team” exercise. Bring a recent, recurrent or particularly meaningful dream with you for self-reflection. Expect to experience the power and potential of bringing together these two great lines of work.
