The Enneagram Embodiment Workshop

February 28, March 21 and April 11
Berkeley, CA
Three Sundays with Marion Gilbert

After awareness of our type has settled into our cognitive brain we might become curious about the way we experience reactivity. How do we respond to life in and around us and is there a practice which can give us more choice in how our types manifest?

In this workshop series of three Sundays we will learn about somatic/sensory experience as it arises and informs us about our type structure. You will learn:

  • to cultivate our inner observer
  • breathing practice
  • grounded presence
  • sensory awareness
  • resourcing
  • integrating somatic (physical) awareness, emotional, psychological experience

The way we embody our types is related to our ability to stay receptive, grounded and present. When reactivity arises we seem to find ourselves often in the “passion or vice” of our type. The result is that we experience defensiveness and lose contact with parts of ourselves and therefore cannot stay open to others. This often results in misunderstandings, conflict, confusion and loss of objectivity. Through this somatic-based practice offered in this workshop series, you will be able to begin to access the reactivity with skillful means using the inner observer, the tracking of the breath and increase your capacity to stay present.
