Overview of the Trifold School

Co-founded by Helen Palmer and David Daniels, M.D., the Trifold School of Enneagram Studies™ provides comprehensive teachings of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition. We deliver programs in three domains of human endeavor – for personal development (self and relationships), spiritual integration and for the workplace. Personal development
We offer workshops and classes on a variety of themes. Our premier offering is the Enneagram Intensive™, a six-day course integrating psychological life and spirit. We also offer introductory, daylong and weekend workshops on such topics as vital relationships, anger and forgiveness, love and will, the Enneagram and dreams, forgiveness, vital relationships, effective communications, defense mechanisms and instinctual subtypes. The Enneagram and Spirituality
Our psychological-spiritual curriculum for type and spiritual freedom focuses on key topics of psychological and spiritual integration. Topics include such themes as type and false identity, projection, presence and self-forgetting, virtues of the heart, intuition, and retrieving the Holy Ideas. Helen Palmer teaches the series of open programs in the Narrative Tradition. Following each introductory program, other teachers certified in the Narrative Tradition conduct six-week follow-up classes. Learn more.

The Enneagram at Work
The four-section Enneagram Professional Training Program™ is designed for those who would like to pursue teacher certification or use the Enneagram in their professional practice or workplace (see next paragraph). We also offer a variety of customized training programs and consulting services for organizations, based on mutually agreed upon methods, goals, measurable outcomes and results. Topics include leadership style and development, effective communications and team building, stress and change management, self-management, reducing personal reactivity, negotiations and conflict resolution, learning styles and organizational culture.

Enneagram Professional Training Program™
The Trifold School has conducted the Enneagram Professional Training Program™ (EPTP) since 1988. Now offered in more than 10 locations worldwide, the trainings can be taken for personal or professional development, or as part of a teacher certification program. Many participants are therapists, counselors or coaches who learn to use the Enneagram as a foundation for healing and development strategies for their clients.

The EPTP is offered in four sections and includes comprehensive instruction in the Narrative Tradition panel method, type determination, full examination of personality dynamics and structure, spiritual development, and the personal growth tasks of each of the types. EPTP graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to use the Licensed Teaching Materials Package.

How we work

We work in the Narrative Tradition method of inquiry and self-discovery that involves direct sharing by exemplars of the types.

We work from a stance of integrity and inclusiveness, openness and authenticity, and regard and respect.

We work empirically from the model of self and others’ observations, which is at the root of scientific psychology.

We have created Enneagram Worldwide to:

• Provide high quality information on the Enneagram that is reliable, trustworthy and authoritative

• Offer teachings in the Narrative Tradition that offer a unique and personally transformative experience of the Enneagram

• Create a more compassionate world by helping people appreciate their differences and see through the eyes of another

• Empower you to better understand yourself and others, and to gain the insights for a more fulfilling and meaningful life

• Promote and disseminate resources that can help your discover your personality type and patterns

To assist you in determining your Enneagram type, we draw on the only scientifically validated self-discovery test and guide available, The Essential Enneagram by David Daniels, and its online version, The Essential Enneagram test.
