2019: Building on Our Connections for a Sustainable Future

August 16, 2019 | By Joyce Plaza

In July 2019, stakeholders gathered in Boulder, CO, for four days of discussions focused on envisioning and prioritizing initiatives. The resultĀ of these efforts is a dynamic strategic plan for TNE from 2019 through 2021.

In addition to the bonding and communication among all stakeholders, each individual had an equal vote on setting priorities. We organized many great ideas into strategic goals and prioritized initiatives. This was a seminal moment resulting from a group of dedicated, hard-working individuals reflecting the values of TNE. We were able to do this work thanks to Certified Narrative Enneagram TeacherĀ Tod Tappert, who donated time and expertise to guide and support this effort.

The bottom line is that we have evolved to a position of greater sustainability as an organization, and there is more to do. The second half of 2019 entails implementing our strategic plan, which will protect the integrity of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition. It calls on TNE to collaborate with other Enneagram communities around the world, and identifies six initiatives for the organization:

  • Deliver, expand and innovate program offerings
  • Produce and enhance member services and benefits
  • Cultivate communities interested in the Enneagram
  • Promote and market TNE
  • Challenge, educate and develop our stakeholders
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and sustainable financial and operational plan

I am privileged to be part of it!
