Many people encounter difficulties in communicating with each other in relationships. Recurrent unconscious patterns can create barriers to establishing, maintaining, and enjoying intimate as well as platonic relationships.
This workshop features nine moderated Enneagram type panels which serve to clarify the basic defensive patterns of the nine personalities and gain a deeper understanding of each type’s specific relational issues. Once you can bring more awareness to how your automatic personality patterns get acted out in your interactions with others, you can learn how to be less defensive, more effective in your communication, and more open to receive love and acceptance from yourself and others.
The Enneagram system is a personality type system that provides great insight into ingrained ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving, as well as communication styles and patterns of relating. Using the Enneagram as a tool for enhancing self-awareness, individuals can develop a great amount of insight into the unconscious habits that affect their everyday experience and their participation in relationships. This workshop helps participants to be more effective in relating to others by providing a framework for becoming more conscious of habitual reactions, learning to moderate interpersonal reactivity, and developing the ability to negotiate relationship conversations more consciously.
NOTE: Helen Palmer and Matt Aherns will moderate the Type 3 and 6 panels on September 28 and October 5. Thereafter, Beatrice Chestnut will moderate.
