Instinctual Subtypes and the Defences, London, UK
Sep 25 - 26
Fri 10 am - 6 pm, Sat 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
Advanced Enneagram Workshop

Subtypes and defences are vital for understanding our personality type and our personal development. Subtypes describe how we focus energy and attention in our most important activities and relationships, while the defences keep us “safe” but locked in to our automatic patterns and habits. In this workshop we will explore:

  • How to identify the three parts of the defence system – idealization, avoidance and defence mechanism – and their impact on our subtype
  • The role of our emotional habit, which is often hidden from view
  • How we can manage our subtype with less defence and more awareness in order to achieve our goals and create an authentic path in life

The format will include presentations, panel interviews, inner practices and breathing exercises. Since this is an advanced workshop all participants must have significant prior learning and be well informed about the Enneagram types and the subtypes.
