Narrative Enneagram Advanced Teacher Training Program – Online
Feb 20 - Nov 20, 2018
4-6 pm Pacific
Peter O'Hanrahan with Terry Saracino and Renée Rosario

In response to your requests for further development as Narrative Enneagram Teachers, we are delighted to announce a new program – the Advanced Teacher Training Program for Certified Teachers in the Narrative Tradition. This training is designed to help you develop your teaching skills and your knowledge base as well as learn more about formats and resource materials. Feedback from facilitators and other participants will create a rich learning environment. Monthly small groups will strengthen the learning.

This program is for any Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Tradition who wants further training and continuing support. Whether you are a beginning teacher or someone who has already been working in the field, this group will empower you in your teaching practice.

The 10-month training group comprised of 8-12 participants will meet on Internet video (Zoom.us) once a month. Peter O’Hanrahan will be the primary facilitator, with either Terry Saracino or Renee Rosario co-facilitating five of the sessions. Our meeting time will be once a month on Tuesdays, from 4-6 pm, US Pacific time zone.

Note: This training is scheduled for the benefit of US teachers in four time zones. It would also work for those in Australia (mid morning) and possibly Asia (early morning). Unfortunately, this schedule won’t work for people in Europe or Africa. Yet, if there is enough interest, we will happily start a second section to fit those time zones.

We hope that you will join us on this yearlong journey of continued personal discovery and professional development.

Program Goals

  1. Improve and develop teachers’ skills and knowledge
  2. Support teachers in teaching in the Narrative Tradition
  3. Create professional development plans

Program Content Areas

  1. Strengthen panel-interviewing skills – structure, rapport, line of questions (main topics), inquiry and demonstration.
  2. Practice presentations – content, organization and delivery.
  3. Learn basic somatic exercises and practice delivering them – groundedness, breath and sensing practice, returning to center under stress, congruence with speaking voice, modeling self acceptance.
  4. Increase knowledge base – key content areas and how to best teach them, including the system overview, type basics and propositions, defense systems, subtypes, the spiritual work, the interface with other systems, etc.
  5. Create a professional development plan including the focus on your own inner work.

Program Format

  • Monthly group meeting via Internet video, two hours:
    • Check in with people’s progress in their teaching.
    • View member’s presentations and panels to provide feedback and suggestions in a supportive way.
    • Discuss the nuts and bolts of teaching: preparation, design, handouts, resources, sites, pricing, publicity, networking, technology, etc.
  • Small groups will meet once a month for 60-90 minutes to track progress, to personally check in, and review a member’s video and provide feedback (without the facilitators).

You will need access to a computer with a camera and a good Internet connection. We will be connecting via the online meeting site, Zoom.us. You don’t need to buy or download anything, you’ll just click on the link from the email invitation you will receive. We will be able to see everyone on screen, view materials, and watch member videos. The meetings may be recorded for member use only.
