Integrative Coaching and Consulting
Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Tradition
Clinical Assistant Professor
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine
University of Washington Medical Center
I practiced private family medicine for 18 years in the Seattle area before retraining in Psychiatry at the UWMC. For the past 15 years, I have worked as psychiatrist half-time at the Seattle VAMC working with Addicted Chronically Mentally Ill veterans and half-time in private Jungian-oriented psychotherapy. My focus has been integrating somatic, mental/emotional, and spiritual healing and coaching. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, I have taught psychiatric residents and medical students and others about Addictions, Mind-Body Medicine, the Healers Art, medical student and physician well being, and various aspects of spirituality and psychiatry.
Over the years, I have pursued additional training in working with death and dying, spiritual growth, Mindfulness meditation, and Jungian studies as well as the enneagram.
I am currently not practicing medicine or psychiatry. I am working as an Integrative Coach and Consultant for 3 types of clients: 1) Health care professionals; 2) Personal and spiritual growth and discernment; and 3) People confronting life-changing illness and end of life concerns. I am particularly interested in issues of meaning and purpose, spirituality, and embodied living with soul and role aligned.
